The cities are awesome and I had a fabulous time. But, a key part of this was the fact that we booked through MIR and MIR took care of everything. Would highly recommend traveling to Russia using a tour operator.

My favorite part was the private dinner for us with the Moscow couple. There was wonderful food and wonderful to be in a Russian apartment.

The tour was well run, paced actively and superbly guided. The tour included all the highlights, plus some off beat destinations that most tourists do not get to. All in all a top notch, carefree travel experience

…It is safe to say without the expertise of your superb cadre of guides in the country we never could have put it all together. In fact, we were totally dependent on them to benefit from the extraordinary experienced of visiting three regions of [Ukraine] within a two-week time period.

Clearly, MIR Corporation has a well-deserved reputation for superb customer service. We support that well-deserved reputation, which is possibly rooted in the fact that your associates like their jobs and that job satisfaction has been transferred to customer and client relations….

Honestly, we were duly impressed with each of the regional guides and the drivers who accompanied us. Their local knowledge of the unique features of their respective region was so evident, impressive, and unmatched by any we have encounters over our 40 years of visiting 140 countries.

I want to thank you for a most stupendous trip; 5 stars plus. Loved Ukraine, the people, the sites, the precision of our tour; the fine quality of the guides and drivers - how much they care, how much they know and how much they kept our interests foremost in their hearts and their minds. It was just stupendous.

It was so fabulous we cannot stop talking about it. Again, thank you very much. And I will certainly recommend MIR Corporation when it is appropriate for our friends & colleagues.

It was excellent beyond all expectations.

MIR Office in Seattle was outstanding…We have already told several friends about MIR and how wonderful they are! You all put together a trip for us that was perfect to our budget, time frame and interests. Russia is a fabulous destination – wonderful history, magnificent sites we can’t say enough about MIR and Russia.

Days 1-3: Moscow

Gather in Moscow, Russia's capital city. Admire Red Square and the Kremlin, visit UNESCO-listed Novodevichy Convent and tour the opulent stations of the Moscow Metro. Learn secrets of the past at Stalin's underground bunker, and browse the moving collection of Russian art at the Tretyakov Gallery. Tour the Armory Museum, housing Russian treasures. Wander through Izmailovo Park, and spend an evening dining in a Russian home.

Day 4: Klin, Tver, Novgorod

Drive out to Pyotr Tchaikovsky's estate in Klin, where the composer spent the last year of his life. Enjoy a short concert at the estate, then continue on to Tver, the city that Catherine the Great redesigned after it burnt to the ground. Next is Veliky Novgorod (Novgorod the Great), one of Russia's most ancient cities. Explore its UNESCO-listed kremlin, the medieval market stalls of Yaroslav's Court and the 11th century St. Sophia Cathedral. Learn from a master craftsman at a hands-on class on traditional Novgorod birch bark crafts.

Days 5-10: St. Petersburg

Drive to St. Petersburg; designed by the best architects and built by the best artisans of the era, St. Petersburg's architecture displays a rare harmony.
